SOFT SHADES by OPI

FRENCH V-TIPS with a twist!  

Two base coats of “Coney Island Cotton Candy” a sheer nude polish with a V-shaped French tip with “This Silver’s Mine” and “Lady in Black” and two hand painted diagonal stripes!

CHEVRON STRIPES

Three coats of the sheer, shimmery white polish “Chiffon My Mind” and then I used small chevron vinyls from Snailvinyls to add the black chevron stripes. On one of the picture I added four crystals from Swarovski that comes with the set.

HEARTS

Two coats of the pearly silver “This Silver’s Mine” and with heart vinyls from snailvinyls, I added black hearts with “Lady in Black” and a few red hearts with OPIs “You Only Live Twice” (from the Skyfall/James Bond Collection)

Circular ombre with skulls from snailvinyls! These are some of my favourites this Halloween! I think they are just sooo cool :D

Hand painted «The Nightmare before Christmas» nail art! Inspired by the movie and my fellow Norwegian IG: Mypolishworld <3

The grey background is the three grey polishes from OPI’s fifty shades of grey collection. The yellow is Masglow “Curiosa” and OPI’s “I just can Cope-Acabana” and some white OPI “Alpine Snow”. The rest is acrylic paint!

GHOST Manicures !

Night Ghosts! 

This beautiful blue is “Russian Navy Suede” from OPI and I think it looks like a gorgeous night sky with thousands stars. I used ghost vinyls from IG: ViNailicious on a white base of OPIs Alpine Snow!

A Ruffian mani with ghost!

The reverse French is hand painted with Lady in Black by OPI over a white base (OPI Alpine Snow)  A classic black and white ghost mani!

French Nail Art with a Twist // Yellow Batnails

The classic French manicure with a Halloween/ Batman twist! 

I’ve seen versions of this design around where people have used a bat to hide the line between the natural nail and the French tip but I made my own twist and made a yellow batman version!  

 This is a suuuper easy but sooo cool bat design!

I got requests for a tutorial when I posted it on Instagram so I remade one nail and filmed it! I am such a noob when it comes to video editing but it will atleast give you a better idea of how to recreate this design!

The polishes I used in this manicure were

Sugar Daddy by Essie as a sheer nude

Where’s My Sunnies by Sea Siren as my yellow

Midnight Moves by Sea Siren for the black!

Finally I used HK GIRL fast drying topcoat both before I used the vinyl and after.The bat vinyls are from a Halloween sheet by RockNailStar

•           Apply a sheer nude polish. 
•          Make a yellow french tip.  The line does not have to be perfect!
•          Apply a fast drying top coat and wait 15-20 minutes for the polish to dry.  I'm using HK Girl by Glisten and Glow
•          Pick up the vinyl with tweezers and apply them to the nails. Make sure you press down so that there are no open spaces for the polish to bleed though.  
•          Apply the black polish and use tweezers to remove the vinyl.
•         Let the polish dry for a while before applying a protective layer of fast drying top coat to smooth out the design and make it all shiny and pretty.

Two Different RUFFIAN Nails!

BLUE & GOLD RUFFIAN with GOLD STUDS 

I used nail vinyls from bornprettystore to make the revers French nail or 

ruffian nails as it is called! 

I also bought the gold studs from bornprettystore.
I saw IG: Justagirlandherhands use this stud placement a while ago and I just loved it!     

 The blue is Depend Cosmetic “Just Divine” and 

the gold is “Love.Angel.Music.Baby” by OPI!  

PEACH & GOLD RUFFIAN 

I used the same gold “Love.Angel.Music.Baby” by OPI to create the ruffian on this manicure. 

It is my all time favourite gold for nailart because it is so beautiful and opaque that I never need to layers (which can be annoying when making nailart)

It looks so good with “Canal Street Coral” by Maybelline because of the warm tones. 

Rocklore

I made several manicures for the Music Rocklore Challenge!

There were eight themes based on songs that are names of Deopran Lippman Nailpolishes

Theme 1: She Drives Me Crazy
Colors! A ruffian colourful manicure! 

Theme 2: Tip Toe Through The Tulips

Tulips, Tulips Tulips!!!! The first is one is painted with nail polishes! 

The second one is inspired by @cutepolish

Theme 3: It's Raining Man
Multi-coloured raindrops! A colourful rainy man! A symbolic manicure for this theme! 

Theme 4: Jailhouse Rock - Retro
Elvis inspired nails! I think you can clearly see my inspiration from this picture!  

  

Theme 5: Let It Bleed - LegendsI made a VERY literal interpretation of the theme “Let it Bleed” xD kind of gory and Halloweeny!  

Theme 6: Razzle Dazzle  - Musicals 
This theme is musicals! The first one I made was inspired by the costumes used in Razzle Dazzle! A pink, glittery fabric with silver stars! The X-pattern is inspired by the neckline of the crop top! The next one is inspired by the green witch in the musical “Wicked” 

Theme 7: Ray Of Light
The first is a ray of light down my nails in purple with small and big glitter hexagons and white dots.
The second one is a turquoise manicure with flakies (inspired by the picture under!)
